INVITATION TO NEW FACULTY

Dear All New Faculty:
Welcome to the 91传媒 and congratulations on your recent appointment! It is an honor to welcome you to a new academic year at the UNA.
The Office of Academic Affairs and Provost is pleased to host the New Faculty Orientation.
To ensure your successful transition to the 91传媒 community, we invite you to review the following important information:

Orientation sessions will continue throughout the first year, focusing on issues and topics of interest to new faculty related to teaching, scholarship, and service.

New Faculty Checklist

As you get started, a New Faculty Checklist is provided below for your convenience:

  • Register for New Faculty Orientation register-button.png
  • Schedule Directory Photo

  • Obtain 91传媒 Mane Card
            Obtain your mobile ID Mane Card by visiting the Mane Card webpage.

  • Obtain Parking Permit
Please complete the online form at  and then visit the Transportation Services Desk in the Guillot University Center to retrieve your hangtag.

  • Computer Access – 91传媒Portal

Once your paperwork is processed, log into your 91传媒 Portal - Click the 'Portal' link at the top of any 91传媒 web page to access the new site.

91传媒Portal /its/unaportal/index.html 

 Your login to 91传媒Portal is only your username (not your full email address). Your username should be your first initial followed by your full last name. Your username is automatically created by the system. Your original password will be RoarLions!mmddyyyy where mmddyyyy = your eight digit birthday (you will want to change this as soon as possible).

  • Meet with Department Chair
Check with your department office to see if there are important information and/or documents waiting for you. You should contact your chair or department representative for copies of the syllabi of record for each course you are assigned to teach.
Ask your department chair or department administrative assistant about computer equipment and keys for your use.

  • Review the Faculty Resources
Review the which was created with critical policy documents from a variety of campus resources including the Faculty Handbook to provide faculty members with a concise view of important information.

  • Use the campus map
Use the online campus map to familiarize yourself with the locations of your office, classes, and the most convenient parking lots.

We will offer continued opportunities throughout the academic year for you to meet University leadership and colleagues to discuss issues and topics related to teaching, scholarship, and service.
